Saliento
 a madeira apropriada à função  .
o design indicado para o trabalho  .
a dimensão consensual  .
o equlíbrio específico  .
o acabamento Premium  .

Obrigado
Abraço
Fernando Sarmento

Seido Co., Ltd. CEO

As the founder of Seido, a great amateur of craftsmanship and especially woodwork, I've had many opportunities to see and work with various weapons
Although we're the only company working with all Japanese craftsman simultaneously, it still wasn't enough for me, so I've started a quest: find all good weapons craftsmen in the world
And I must say, João is one of the very few I was able to discover

What I like the most in his work is that he has a very rare approach: craftsmanship as a Budo practitioner
His work make me think about one of Miyamoto Musashi's quote, in which he explains that craftsmanship as an art is very much like martial practice as as art:  - Like a soldier, the carpenter sharpens his own tools. [...] When the carpenter becomes skilled, he works efficiently and according to correct measures. When he has developed practical knowledge of all the skills of the craft, he can become a foreman himself

I've always believed that craftsmanship can be a very good way of polishing one's human and martial skills, and João proved me right with his work
Showing his work to Japanese craftsmen was also a very good way to show them that craftsmanship is something that defines us as human, beyond borders and cultures, exactly like Budo and Aikido practice

I am really happy with the weapons I have received from João, they fit perfectly my occasional Tanren work, and they do fit very well in my collection, helping me to remember why I do the work I do on a daily basis

I wish him the best in his quest of perfection
